WHAT IS “FUE” HAIR TRANSPLANTATION?

Modern surgical techniques for hair transplantation provide a permanent solution and a natural look in patients who have completely or partially lost their hair. The “FUE” technique is a procedure in which individual follicular units are taken from the donor region and transplanted into areas where the hair is lost or thinned. The donor region is most often the back of the head.

Experience and the most advanced training are necessary to ensure adequate angles, orientation and position on each transplanted hair graft.

HOW IS THE “FUE” TECHNIQUE PERFORMED AND WHAT DOES THE POSTOPERATIVE PERIOD LOOK LIKE?

The hair transplant procedure is performed under local anesthesia and lasts for several hours, depending on the number of grafts to be taken from the donor region and implanted in the desired areas.

Most patients do not feel any discomfort during and after the operation, except for minor itching and swelling that disappear within a few hours. It is possible to return to normal physical activities 4-5 days after the operation.

Transplanted hair falls out after 2 weeks and new hair starts to grow in about 3 months.

The full effect of transplantation is achieved after 6-8 months.
